Permanence Requirements

  1. Approve the courses, seminars and workshops assigned with a minimum passing grade of 8, and thus obtain the corresponding credits.

  2. Comply with the biannual presentations of research advances before the Tutoring Committee with a minimum passing grade of 8. Said Committee will be made up of at least 3 research professors from at least one area different from that of the thesis director. These may be the same members of the Admission Committee. Before each meeting, the student must send the TC, at least one week in advance, a summary of their research. The Tutoring Committee must issue a minute indicating the status of the progress of the student's research, as well as suggestions and indications agreed by the members of the Committee for the development of the research. The Committee may recommend that the student take any additional subject that is considered necessary as an activity to be carried out during the following semester to be evaluated.

  3. Do not fail more than one subject (Art. 48 of the current General Regulations for Postgraduate Studies).

  4. Pass the Doctoral Candidacy Exam at the end of the third semester. In case of not approving it, the student will have the possibility to do it in the following semester, as long as they do not incur in the aforementioned Art. 48.

  5. Participate in the Permanent Forum for Research in Cognitive Sciences and present research advances on at least one occasion.

  6. Obtain the professional certificate of master's studies, no later than the sixth semester.

  7. Accredit the comprehension of texts in English between the 5th and 6th semester of the Doctorate. The certificate must be issued by the UAEM Foreign Language Center or any other prestigious university. The TOEFL, IELTS and any other exam that the CINCCO Educational Programs Office seems to be satisfactory is also accepted.

  8. Comply with one of the following complementary academic activities approved by your tutoring committee:
     

  • Participate in the organization of a scientific event.

  • Present your results as a speaker at a national or international congress.

  • Make a presentation at a public seminar.

  • Carry out a research stay outside the UAEM for a minimum of one quarter.

  • Participate in the preparation of a research project, or equivalent, to request funding.

  • Form a tutoring committee in an undergraduate thesis.

  • Participate in a Tutoring Committee.
     

9.         Semester fee of $8,500.00 for payment of registration and services in the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th semester.

10.     Semester fee of $8,000.00 for registration payment in the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th semesters.
